BEFORE YOU ORDER

Artificial Ivy Screen Buying Checklist

An attractive listing photo cannot confirm fit, leaf density, attachment strength or suitability for your property. Use the listing, real measurements, product instructions and return terms together before buying an expandable faux-ivy screen.

Start with fit: use the free expandable ivy screen calculator to compare complete width × height pairs, panel count and product subtotal.

1 · PRODUCT LISTING

Save the specification before purchase

Paired dimensions

Record every compact, usual-use and maximum width × height pair. A wider crossed lattice is normally shorter.

Package contents

Check whether one order means one panel, a set, mounting ties, brackets or only the lattice screen.

Materials

Look for the frame or lattice material, leaf material, finish and any care instructions published by the manufacturer.

Claims and limits

Save the exact wording and source of UV, weather, flame or outdoor-use claims. A badge without a test or standard is weak evidence.

2 · YOUR INSTALLATION AREA

Check the support and clearances

Site checks the planner cannot verify from a photo
CheckWhat to confirmEvidence to use
SupportAn existing wall, railing, posts or frame is allowed by the product instructions.Manufacturer instructions and the real structure.
PermissionRental, landlord, strata, HOA or local property rules allow the proposed attachment.Written property rules or approval.
ClearanceDoors, gates, handles, paths, drains and required exits remain usable.On-site measurements in both deployed and compact states.
ExposureThe product instructions cover the wind, sun, rain and temperature exposure at that location.Manufacturer instructions; ask when the listing is silent.

An artificial ivy screen is not a child, pet, fall-protection or security barrier unless a qualified product is specifically designed and approved for that use.

3 · REAL BUYER EVIDENCE

Look beyond the hero image

No single review proves long-term performance. Consistent photos and measurements from several orders are more useful than repeated marketing phrases.

4 · SELLER AND RETURNS

Confirm what happens if the delivered screen is different

Variant identity

Make sure the colour, leaf style, panel count and listed dimensions in the cart match the option you evaluated.

Return window

Record the deadline, product condition and packaging requirements for a size, appearance or damage return.

Return cost

Check who pays return shipping, especially for oversized or international orders.

Seller contact

Use a seller that provides an order record and a support route for missing, damaged or incorrectly sized items.

PAUSE BEFORE BUYING

Five reasons to stop and clarify the listing

  1. The width and height are shown separately with no paired expansion states.
  2. The title, diagram and description give different dimensions.
  3. The listing does not say what one package contains.
  4. It claims suitability for every outdoor condition without instructions or limits.
  5. The return terms exclude opened packages even though the delivered size cannot be checked while sealed.

MAKE THE DECISION

Fit first, visual preview second

Use measurements and manufacturer information to decide whether the product can fit. Use the AI preview only to compare appearance and placement in your outdoor photo. Neither a listing photo nor an AI concept proves structural performance or safety.
