Visual example

See the screen in garden context.

These are separate synthetic views, not a matched before-and-after of one property. The screen concept keeps the shrubs, bed and walkway visible so you can judge its visual footprint before using your own measurements.

Illustrative appearance only. Neither image verifies dimensions, product fit, attachment, stability or safety.

BUILT FOR ONE DECISION

Would this exact expandable ivy screen suit your measured opening?

01

Measure the opening

Enter its real width and height. A photo cannot provide reliable scale.

02

Copy the listed sizes

Use the paired width and height for each state exactly as the manufacturer publishes them.

03

Preview the appearance

After the size check, upload a photo to compare deployed and compact visual directions.

01

Check the real fit first

Do not estimate from the photo. Measure the installation area yourself and copy product sizes from the manufacturer listing.

Manufacturer-listed paired sizes

Copy each published width × height pair exactly. Leave a pair blank when it is not published; this planner never estimates between states.

Buying fit checklist

  • Enter the real opening measurements above.
  • Compare them with the manufacturer compact, usual and maximum sizes.

YOUR WORKING VIEW

Waiting for your photo

Your photo stays the reference.

The concept adds only the dark brown crossed wood lattice with attached faux ivy, shown deployed and compact while everything else stays unchanged.

No photo is sent until you press Generate.

What this planner cannot verify

  • Load capacity, wind resistance, weather performance or code compliance
  • Whether it can restrain a child, pet or wildlife
  • Permission under rental, landlord, strata, HOA or property rules

Use the real product instructions and property requirements. This is not engineering, installation or safety advice.

COMPACT VS EXTENDED SIZE

Treat every width and height as a pair.

An expandable crossed lattice normally becomes wider and shorter as it opens. Copy each published width × height pair from the product listing instead of combining numbers from different states.

Example opening180 × 100 cmIllustrative numbers, not a product specification.
  1. Usual-use: 150 × 100 cmThe height works, but one panel is too narrow.
  2. Maximum: 300 × 70 cmThe width works, but the listed height is too short.
  3. If joining is permittedTwo usual-use panels cover 300 × 100 cm. If joining is not stated, the planner does not assume it.

QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU GENERATE

Expandable ivy screen planner FAQ

How does the fit check work?

It compares the measured opening with each exact width × height pair you copy from the manufacturer listing. It does not interpolate between compact, usual-use and maximum states.

How many expandable ivy panels do I need?

Choose one exact manufacturer-listed state. If its height covers the opening and the manufacturer permits panels to be joined, the calculator divides the opening width by that listed panel width and rounds up. It does not assume panels can be joined.

Why does the height change when I stretch the screen wider?

The crossed scissor lattice changes width and height together. Use paired width × height values from the seller or manufacturer; do not combine the widest value with a height listed for another state.

Does the ivy give the same privacy when fully stretched?

No fixed privacy level is assumed. Stretching usually opens the lattice and spreads attached leaves farther apart, so compare the exact state you plan to use and review real product photos.

Can I attach it to a balcony railing?

The planner can show placement on an existing railing, but it does not approve the attachment. Check the product instructions plus landlord, rental, strata, HOA and local property rules.

Does the photo calculate the screen size?

No. A single photo does not provide reliable scale. You must measure the real installation area and enter the manufacturer-listed dimensions.

What photo works best for the AI preview?

Use a clear daylight photo taken squarely toward the opening, with the whole railing, wall or posts visible. Avoid faces, house numbers and vehicle plates.

Does the preview prove the screen is safe for pets or children?

No. The result is visual only. It does not verify stability, anchoring, gaps, durability, wind resistance, load capacity or any safety use.

Is this the physical screen from the TikTok video?

No physical product is sold on this page. The tool previews the same product class—a crossed expandable lattice with attached artificial ivy—but does not claim that any particular brand or SKU is the video's original item.
