Mulch calculator / Add it to your website
A mulch worksheet for your website.
Help readers turn a measured bed into whole bags and cubic yards without leaving your garden guide or supplier page. The compact version uses CoverCalc Pro’s existing calculation rules, works in US or metric units, and starts with blank measurements.
WordPress: add a Custom HTML block, paste the code, then preview on desktop and mobile. Other builders: use their HTML/iframe block. If your plan strips iframes, link to the full mulch calculator instead. Keep scrolling enabled; the height can be adjusted to fit your layout.

What it calculates
Measured area × added depth gives volume. Cubic feet = square feet × inches ÷ 12; cubic yards = cubic feet ÷ 27. Whole bags = volume ÷ printed bag volume, rounded up once. Metric inputs use square metres × centimetres ÷ 100 for cubic metres. No allowance or supplier minimum is added automatically. The area × depth and bag-volume method is explained by Iowa State University Extension.
Example: 100 square feet with a new 3-inch layer is 25 cubic feet, about 0.926 cubic yards, or 13 whole 2-cubic-foot bags before any allowance. Check the exact product label and appropriate depth for the site. This is a quantity estimate, not a quote or a product recommendation.
Privacy and scope
The embedded calculator has no advertising, analytics script, cookie or browser-storage code. Measurements are calculated inside the frame, not uploaded. Loading the frame still makes ordinary hosting requests. Choosing “Open CoverCalc Pro” carries your measurements in a URL fragment to the full calculator in a new tab; the full site has its own privacy choices.
The compact frame has no login, uploads, prices or AI generation. Use the full calculator for multiple beds, allowances and costs. For a static reference, use the bag coverage chart and downloadable CSV, or the cubic-yard coverage chart.
There is no required link below the iframe. Its visible full-calculator link is marked nofollow; this embed is a reader utility, not an automated link-building scheme.
