Turn the chosen direction into a build list. Confirm every plant, material and product yourself; the AI image does not identify species, quantities or construction requirements.

How to use the mulch project planner

    1. Measure by bed

Keep areas separate when shapes or depths differ. The planner combines them only after each area is calculated.

    2. Choose an ordering cushion

The extra percentage is applied after all measured volumes are added. It is an editable planning allowance, not a guaranteed requirement.

    3. Confirm the order

Share the printed worksheet with a local supplier and confirm product, quantity, lead time, delivery access, and return policy.

    4. Record what happened

After the job, keep the actual quantity, cost, hours, outcome, and reason for any variance with the same project record.

A concept image supplies visual notes only, while field measurements of each bed and entered depth determine the mulch order quantity
Keep a concept as a visual reference in the record. Measure the actual beds before calculating material; the picture cannot supply dimensions.

    One worksheet, three decisions

What the mulch project planner produces

    Mulch order quantity

Measured volume stays visible beside the order quantity, so the editable extra percentage is never hidden.

    Order-by date

Add an install date and supplier lead time to calculate the date by which the order should be placed.

    Concept, selections and evidence

Attach one selected AI concept as a local visual reference, map it to project areas, confirm the build list and budget, freeze an approval revision, and record current-tab before and after evidence.

    Mulch project planner FAQ

Does the planner send my project anywhere?

Project entries are stored in this browser. Before and after photos are prepared locally and remain only in the current tab. Printing and CSV download happen on your device. The site uses Cloudflare traffic analytics; see the privacy policy.

What happens when I attach an AI concept?

The selected generated concept is read from this browser's local storage and attached as a visual reference. The original uploaded garden photo is not retained. Customer and crew print visibility are separate and off by default. The image is never used to calculate measurements, quantities, plant suitability or item specifications.

Are before and after photos uploaded or saved?

No. The planner creates a local JPEG copy capped at 1600 pixels on its longest side, with embedded metadata removed. It is not uploaded, written to the saved worksheet, or included in CSV. It disappears when you refresh or close the tab. A photo enters the customer summary only when you select it.

What does Approve for planning mean?

It freezes the current local selection revision so you can print or compare it with later changes. It is a planning record, not an electronic signature, purchase order, construction drawing or supplier order. Reopening it starts a new revision and preserves the previous approved summary.

    Is the extra percentage required?

No. Change it to match your project or set it to zero. The planner shows measured volume separately from the order quantity so the allowance stays visible.

Why should I confirm the quantity with a supplier?

Bed conditions, compaction, product texture, moisture, delivery minimums, and how a supplier rounds bulk orders can change the final order.

    Can I plan bagged mulch?

Yes. Choose Bags and select the volume printed on the bag. The total bag count is rounded up after the project allowance is applied.
